Pacely cookie notice
Onn Software B.V. · Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 87600641 · Meester Bierensweg 9b, 4841AH Prinsenbeek, The NetherlandsContact: mail@pacely.nl1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. On a later visit the website can read that little file again, for example to keep you logged in or to remember which preferences you had set.
Besides cookies there are similar techniques, think of *local storage* and *IndexedDB* in your browser. In this notice we use the word "cookie" as a collective term, because the law treats those techniques in the same way.
2. Which cookies Pacely uses
We use only what we strictly need to make Pacely work. Those are:
- Login cookie / session storage, to keep you logged in for as long as you use the app. Without this you would have to log in again on every page.
- Preferences, for example your language choice, or a choice between light and dark display. On your device the choice is stored as a separate cookie so the website immediately uses the right language. If you are logged in, we also link the same preference to your account, so your settings carry over to another device, see privacy notice article 4.1.
- Error detection, if the app runs into an error, our error monitoring (Sentry) stores a short technical key in your session storage so the same error is not submitted multiple times. No tracking, no identification. The error report itself contains no health data; see privacy notice article 4.6.
For this category the law does not require us to ask for consent first, they are *strictly necessary* for the service you have requested. We also do not use them for anything else.
3. What we do not use
We currently use no:
- tracking cookies or advertising cookies;
- external analytics (such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel or similar);
- social media pixels or share buttons that track you;
- third-party cookies for advertising or profiling purposes.
If that changes in the future, we will first show a cookie bar in which you can choose per category whether you give consent. Only after your agreement do we place those cookies.
4. What if you disable cookies
You can always manage cookies yourself through your browser settings. If you disable strictly necessary cookies, Pacely will not work as intended, for example because you can no longer stay logged in. Pacely itself sets no non-necessary cookies, so there is nothing to disable for those.
How to set cookies in your browser:
5. Relationship to the privacy notice
The data that reaches us via cookies we handle according to our privacy notice. There you can also read which processors we engage (see also the sub-processors list) and what rights you have.
6. Changes to this notice
We may adjust this notice, for example if we add a new category of cookies or start using an external service that places cookies. At the top you always find the version number and the date of the last change. For important changes we show a notice on the website or in the app.
